FORT WORTH, Texas — The creator of a short film about the film industry itself has big dreams for his work and hopes its message reaches as many people as possible.

“Follow their dreams, but don't be blinded by those dreams, and see where you can find yourself when you get there,” Austin Glasser said.

The short film, titled The Writer, is written and directed by Austin Glasser in what marks his first major production. Filmmaking runs in the California native’s family, and his latest project is gaining attention as it heads to the Lone Star Film Festival. Some festivalgoers may even recognize the locations, since the film was shot in the Fort Worth area.
