CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WOWK) — This Saturday, the funds for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will not be there for the people who need them, putting a burden on West Virginia families already struggling to make ends meet.

"I'm upset, worried, sad," said Kayini Wilson. "But I mean, honestly, I'm probably more mad because it's nobody, whether they're homeless, rich, or poor, or whatever it is. Nobody should be denied the right to eat."

Wilson is a single mom working to raise her two-year-old daughter, Prestera. She works full-time for her daughter, but she needs a little help to make sure she can get the resources her family needs.

"Kind of picks up the slack because I'm a single mom with a child," said Wilson. "And even though I work 40 hours a week, paying all the bills
