It is said that Longmont’s century-old brick buildings and quiet streets carry more than just history. They also hold stories of lingering spirits, unsolved mysteries and unexplained phenomena.

The city’s “Murder, Haunts and Intrigue” nighttime walking tour, led by Longmont Museum Curator of History Elizabeth Beaudoin and Front Range Community College professor and paranormal investigator Catlyn Keenan, walks visitors through the city’s most notorious sites, blending local lore with first-hand accounts of the supernatural.

One of the first stops Wednesday night was the Civic Center on Kimbark Street. Beaudoin and Keenan shared stories from janitorial staff who reported being physically touched in the council chambers, hearing voices and feeling unseen presences when alone in the building
