PRESCOTT, Ariz. — Newly obtained police body-camera video shows a Yavapai County judge being cited for public urination and her husband arrested for allegedly interfering.
Kristyne Schaaf-Olson almost immediately resigned from her position as Judge Pro Tempore with the Yavapai County Superior Court after the incident. It's a position she was appointed to two years ago.
According to the Prescott police report, an officer approached Schaaf-Olson after she appeared to have lost her balance and fallen over in a bush.
“What are you doing?" the officer asked as he walked up to Schaaf-Olson, who could be seen pulling up her pants as she sat on a bench.
Schaaf-Olson told the officer she was waiting for an Uber.
“This is disgusting," the officer said. "This is unacceptable. Where is your ID?”
