One man was left dead and another injured following a shooting Thursday night in north Harris County, according to Harris County Pct. 4 constable deputies.

The shooting was reported at the Cranbrook Forest Apartments in the 13800 block of Ella Boulevard and W. Rankin Road.

According to deputies, the two men were shot at the location. One was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

It is unknown at this time what led up to the shooting.
