FOWLERVILLE, Mich. (WILX) - The Fowlerville Police Department is issuing a safety alert for local pet owners.

Police said dogs have been rushed to the vet after walking at Centennial Park - possibly due to finding and ingesting drugs left at the park.

Officials say to be extra cautious when in the area, especially with small children or dogs.

Anyone who sees anything suspicious or knows about anyone leaving substances at the park, you can call 517-223-8711.

Police did not say what kind of drugs the dogs supposedly ingested, or the animals’ conditions.
