Warren and Shenandoah county voters are taking advantage of early voting as Election Day approaches.
Warren County Director of Elections and General Registrar Matthew Reisinger said in an email on Tuesday that 3,977 voters had cast ballots early, in-person as of that morning.
The number exceeds the early-voting tally in the 2021 election, Reisinger said. The total ballots cast early in-person was just over 4,000 for 2021 and early voting for this election continues through Saturday, Reisinger said.
In Shenandoah County, early voters continue to stream into the Shenandoah County Government Center in Woodstock, with more than 5,400 ballots already cast ahead of Election Day.
As of Tuesday afternoon, 4,687 voters had cast ballots in person and 722 absentee-by-mail ballots had been process
