A week off following a fourth consecutive loss might have been beneficial for Penn State if the Nittany Lions weren’t about to play the nation’s top two teams over the next two weeks, including a trip to take on No. 1 Ohio State in Columbus on Saturday.
The Nittany Lions’ woes are well-documented. In the past five weeks, they’ve gone from No. 2 in the nation to unranked. They remain winless in the Big Ten after reaching the conference title game last season.
