New Delhi, Oct 31: A grand celebration of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) will take place in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, on October 30 and 31, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to honor the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

The event will feature a Republic Day-style parade with 16 contingents, including various security forces, and 10 theme-based tableaux showcasing India’s cultural diversity.

PM Modi will inaugurate development projects worth Rs 1,219 crore and unveil a commemorative coin and postal stamp.

Additionally, he will participate in a Cyclothon, offer tributes at the Statue of Unity, and address approximately 660 trainee IAS officers. Minister Jitu Vaghani highlighted that this celebration underscores India’s unity in diversity.
