( 25News Now ) - Illinois State commit Valshun Powe has played a myriad of roles for the undefeated Central Catholic Saints this season, from quarterback to wide receiver to running back.

An Illini Prairie Conference title, and an undefeated season has “Weapon V” and the Saints rolling into a playoff-opening matchup Saturday at home against Princeton, and the 25 Sports Athlete of the Week.

Of note, Powe is the second in his family to be named the AOW after his dad, Valshun Sr., who was a standout running back at Bloomington High two decades ago.
