SWANSEA — Fresh off a bye week, the Fairhaven football team is flexing its muscles at the right time.
The Blue Devils scored 27 unanswered points and pulled away from Joseph Case, 46-10, in a South Coast Conference Gold Division matchup at Case High School on Thursday, Oct. 30.
"I'm very proud of the way my kids played for three quarters," Cardinals first-year coach Alex Monteiro said. "I think Fairhaven is one of the best, if not the best, on this side of the state. They're very good and well coached. They have a lot of good players and our kids put up a fight."
With the win, Derek Almeida captured his 50th win as head coach of Blue Devils.
"I'm just proud of what we've done as a program," said Almeida, who took over Fairhaven in 2020 after only one winning season in 10 years. Having
