MEDFORD — Cole Anderson resembles a pinball machine when carrying the ball, bouncing off much bigger defenders, time and time again. The Shawnee sophomore quarterback is listed at 5-foot-10 and 173 pounds. Trying to get one tackler to bring him to the ground is a seemingly impossible task.
Anderson broke plenty of tackles not to mention the hearts of the Pennsauken faithful as No. 4 seeded Shawnee defeated the fifth-seeded Indians, 28-12 in a South Jersey Group 4 quarterfinal.
Next weekend Shawnee (7-3) will face the winner of Saturday’s quarterfinal between top seeded and defending state champion Winslow Township and No. 8 Cumberland. Pennsauken, which lost to Shawnee, 36-14 on Oct. 10, finished its season 7-3.
Anderson rushed for 223 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries. No word how
