The Carol B. Berz Family Justice Center held a candlelight service to honor survivors to wrap up domestic violence awareness month. Regina McDevitt, Executive Director, says the candlelight vigil comes after a series of events this month highlighting domestic abuse awareness.

“This is a culmination of a month-long of fantastic events, but I would say tonight truly has been very powerful,” she says.

Survivors, advocates and community members gathered to hear what our leaders are doing to fight domestic violence and the stories of survivors and their healing journeys. Kelsey Bell is one of those survivors–and is using her story to help others fight for freedom.
