RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Big changes are on the way for some families in Richland School District Two.

The district’s Board of Trustees approved new attendance lines for elementary schools on October 28, meaning many students will be attending different schools in the near future.

District officials say the adjustment comes as Richland Two continues to experience significant growth in student enrollment. The redrawn attendance zones are aimed at balancing class sizes and reducing overcrowding in several schools, particularly those along the I-20 corridor.
