LANDIS — The Landis Fall Festival has become a fixture on the southern Rowan County town’s seasonal schedule.
This year’s event was no exception.
“It was such a good time,” Mayor Meredith Smith said. “We had one of the best turnouts at a Fall Festival to date.”
The event took place on Saturday in the area around North Central Avenue and the new D.C. and Frances Linn Park. From 2-6 p.m., visitors and residents enjoyed arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, kiddie rides, inflatables, face and hair painting, a kids pumpkin patch and the most important part of any Halloween-adjacent event — trunk or treat.
Smith said that in years past they charged for a wristband for access to the rides but that the town decided to make those amenities free this time.
