(FOX40.COM) — Two brothers associated with the Howe Park Sureno gang, who were previously convicted of an unprovoked attack on a man, have been re-arrested for a similar incident.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office reported that previously, the brothers Adam and Juan Velasquez had seriously injured a victim because they perceived him as a rival. Both Adam and Juan were arrested for felonies; however, Juan was granted Mental Health Diversion instead of jail time.
While out on their probation in May, the two brothers confronted another man who was at dinner with his family. The brothers shouted gang slurs, attempted to assault and stab the victim with a knife, and then slashed his tires before fleeing.
