The daughter of former Letcher County Sheriff Shawn "Mickey" Stines is taking to social media to dispel gossip surrounding her family.

Lila Stines, 18, has posted five videos on TikTok since Oct. 21 addressing the fatal shooting of Letcher County District Judge Kevin Mullins inside his chambers at the Letcher County Courthouse in September 2024. In a video shown during initial court proceedings, Mickey Stines is shown shooting toward Mullins several times following a conversation between the two men before leaving the room.

Stines then surrendered himself without incident and later resigned as sheriff while still being held in custody.
