(Sioux Falls, SD) — About 75-thousand South Dakotans will not receive SNAP benefits tomorrow. Department of Social Services Secretary Matthew Althoff said on Tuesday that the state would not be funding the benefits if the government stays shut down. He said states wouldn’t be reimbursed by the federal government if they choose to fund benefits.
