LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - On Halloween night, many trick-or-treaters can be seen roaming the streets, collecting as much candy as they can.
Amid all the excitement, it’s important for everyone to stay safe.
Lansing Township Detective Sgt. Randy Volosky has two key words of advice for both trick-or-treaters and drivers: prepare and be aware.
For drivers, that means staying alert for children who may be running across streets or walking near the roadway.
For kids, it means being aware of their surroundings and understanding the importance of saying “no” in a potentially dangerous situation.
