FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A Fort Wayne man was injured in a single-vehicle crash in DeKalb County overnight Thursday.
The crash happened on County Road 40 near Noble County just before 3 a.m. Friday.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, the driver admitted to using his cell phone while traveling on CR 40, causing his SUV to leave the roadway and hit a ditch.
Police say the man was taken to a local hospital with a spinal fracture and a partially paralyzed leg.
It is believed that speed was also a factor in the crash.
