MICHIGAN, USA — Law enforcement has thwarted a potential terrorist attack in Michigan on Friday morning, FBI Director Kash Patel announced.

Patel released very little detail about the attack—including the location in Michigan—but said multiple subjects were apparently plotting a "violent attack" over Halloween weekend.

Those subjects have been arrested, Patel said.

"Thanks to the men and women of FBI and law enforcement everywhere standing guard 24/7 and crushing our mission to defend the homeland," Patel wrote on X .

The Detroit FBI office confirmed federal agents were present in the cities of Dearborn and Inkster, and there's no current threat to public safety.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
