(WHTM) -- Data centers and AI are coming and elected officials are excited about the potential for jobs and tax revenues and economic benefit, but their enthusiasm is dampened by an increasing number of Pennsylvania residents who are just saying no thanks.

A first-of-its-kind energy-AI summit was held in Pittsburgh earlier this year. About $90 billion was pledged to build out power plants and data centers across Pennsylvania. Promising tens of thousands of good-paying jobs and billions in tax revenue.
