An Edinburgh firefighter has spoken out on the impact of the shocking anti-social behaviour seen in the capital on Bonfire Night , as November 5 approaches.

Watch Commander Kenny Yates, who is based at Tollcross Fire Station, has served communities in both Edinburgh and Fife for over 25 years.

During his career, he has witnessed how the actions of a small minority has significantly affected emergency workers responding to incidents.

One Bonfire Night which sticks in his mind as one of the worst he has attended was in 2017, a night which many locals and responders referred to as "The Purge", in reference to the American horror film series.
