OSOYOOS — Osoyoos council is preparing to discuss joining a regional conservation fund dedicated to protecting species at risk and safeguarding water sources across the South Okanagan and Similkameen.
Lauren Meads, administrator of the South Okanagan Conservation Fund (SOCF) and executive director of the Burrowing Owl Conservation Society of B.C., recently presented to council on how the fund operates and why Osoyoos’ participation would strengthen regional conservation efforts.
