Despite the ongoing government shutdown and mounting pressure to negotiate a funding deal, President Donald Trump is departing Washington on Friday morning for a weekend at his Palm Beach country club.

According to the White House press schedule, Trump will leave the White House at 10:00 a.m.on Friday and arrive in Florida around 12:40 p.m., where he is expected to remain through Sunday evening.

His weekend itinerary includes a closed-press MAGA Inc. dinner at Mar-a-Lago on Saturday night, but no public events addressing the shutdown. Trump usually golfs during his trips to Florida.
