Trick-or-treaters may want to hold onto their costumes, and candy bags, as strong winds and cool temperatures sweep across North Jersey this Halloween.
According to meteorologist Zach Cooper of the National Weather Service, winds are expected to stay between 25 and 35 mph throughout the day, with gusts reaching 40 to 50 mph in some areas. A wind advisory remains in effect until midnight, with conditions expected to gradually improve by late evening.
“It’s a cloudy day with temperatures in the low to mid-50s, maybe touching the upper 50s later on,” Cooper said. “It’ll feel pretty cool and brisk out there.”
The National Weather Service warned that the strong gusts could knock down tree limbs and unsecured Halloween decorations, potentially leading to a few isolated power outages. Resident
