Four assistant superintendent positions at Eugene School District 4J will be eliminated at the end of the fiscal year as the the district tightens its budget , according to an Oct. 27 email sent to staff by Superintendent Miriam Miralles Mickelson .

4J will be reconfiguring its executive leadership and will have one assistant superintendent instead of four. That position will oversee all student programs, including teaching and learning and special education, as well as human resources.
