WILMINGTON - Delaware Military Academy coach Matt Carre started his post-game address to his team with a simple message: "We're still alive."
The Seahawks (5-4, 3-1 District 2A-2) held off Milford 39-38 at Fusco Memorial Stadium on Oct. 30 to maintain a chance at reaching the Class 2A playoffs.
A three-play sequence in the middle of the second quarter was key for DMA. Christopher Keller caught an Isaiah Muhammad pass and ran 56 yards for a touchdown. On the ensuing kickoff, Tyler Swarter recovered a fumble. On the next play, Muhammad ran 28 yards for a touchdown.
