With starter Hank Bachmeier left home, possibly due to the coronavirus, USC graduate transfer Jack Sears makes his first start at quarterback for Boise State. And on his first snap at Air Force, Sears uncorked a 75-yard touchdown pass to CT Thomas. Sears would go on to throw for 280 yards and three TDs and add another score on the ground as the Broncos dropped the Falcons 49-30. It Boise State’s fourth straight win over Air Force.
Coach Bryan Harsin had preached it ever since the Mountain West announced a salvaged 2020 football season, which at this time was just a week old: every Boise State Bronco had better be ready to turn on a dime and enter the lineup amidst all the unknowns of a pandemic-altered fall. So
