MEMPHIS, Tenn. - It's just about time to go trick-or-treating.

That means a lot of people and kids will be walking through neighborhoods in search of candy and other sweets. That said, the Tennessee Highway Patrol said more troopers will be out patrolling because there will be a big increase in pedestrians on Halloween.

If you're out driving this Friday night on Halloween, here's what you need to remember:

Make sure you slow down, especially through neighborhoods

Be alert. Push your phone down and limit distractions

Watch for kids darting out between parked cars to cross the street

If there's a parked car on the road, don't drive around it. Children may be getting dropped off
