TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - One person is dead after a crash on Thursday night between a car and a semi-truck on I-65 in Tippecanoe County.

Investigators say the car was heading south on I-65 when it got rear-ended by a semi-truck. Police believe the car was either stopped or slowed in the road at the time of the crash.

The impact of the crash reportedly caused both vehicles to go off the road and down an embankment.

Police say the driver of the car died at the scene. He or she has not been identified yet.

The driver of the semi-truck suffered minor injuries.
