SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) - A man from Holyoke was arrested for allegedly stealing items from a South Hadley business and later charged with intimidation after contacting the victim through social media.

The South Hadley Police Department stated that last Saturday at around 5:38 p.m., officers were notified of a larceny incident from a business on College Street. Police say that the victim reported that she was conducting a Facebook Marketplace sale when the prospective buyer grabbed the items and fled the store on foot, without payment.

An officer located the suspect, who had the stolen items and was positively identified by the victim. He was arrested and charged with a felony, larceny from a person.
