YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) -- A 20-year-old city man was booked into the Mahoning County jail Thursday after police said he led them on a chase in a stolen car.
Lawrence Anderson is expected to be arraigned Friday in municipal court on charges of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony and receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony.
Reports stated that officers spotted the car Anderson was driving, which had been reported stolen, just after 5 p.m. on Maryland Avenue on the West Side and attempted to pull it over.
The car failed to stop and instead led officers on a chase to the South Side at speeds up to 80 miles per hour, reports said. Reports said the car stopped in front of a home in the 1600 block of Chattanooga Avenue, and Anderson
