A special court denied bail to an accused in the Antilia terror scare case, observing that he was the ‘actual assailant’ who had smothered Thane-resident Mansukh Hiran to death in 2021.

The court rejected the bail plea of Satish Mothkuri, who had sought bail on the same grounds as the other accused in the case, including dismissed Mumbai policeman Sunil Mane, who was booked on the same charges but was granted bail by the Supreme Court as the trial is yet to begin.
