One Canadian has just beaten the most unlikely odds by winning the lottery twice in just a few years.
John Butler, a construction worker from Ottawa, Ont., is no stranger to winning the lottery.
John and his sister Veronica, both regular lottery players, earned $1 million after winning an Encore prize after purchasing a Lottario ticket for the Sept. 4, 2021, draw.
“I went to the store to check our ticket and came home to tell Veronica we won!” John recalled. “We are excited and overjoyed!”
When asked what they planned to do with their share of the winnings, they said they’re putting their windfall towards home repairs and retirement.
