The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on Friday said that it thwarted a major terrorist plot hatched for Halloween weekend, its director Kash Patel said on Friday.

He further stated that multiple suspects have been arrested in connection with the terror plot during raids conducted throughout the day.

“This morning the FBI thwarted a potential terrorist attack and arrested multiple subjects in Michigan who were allegedly plotting a violent attack over Halloween weekend. More details to come,” Patel said in a social media.

“Thanks to the men and women of FBI and law enforcement everywhere standing guard 24/7 and crushing our mission to defend the homeland,” he added.

The raids were conducted in the cities of Dearborn and Inkster.
