The Great Danes: Although winless in CAA play, the competitive showing in a 29-16 loss at No. 11 Villanova last was a step forward for Albany (1-7, 0-4). Its defense held the Wildcats to 256 total yards, the first time they’d been under 390 yards all season. Balansame Kamara had 3½ tackles for loss, moving him to third in the CAA with 10½ on the season. But the Great Danes rank at, or near, the bottom of the CAA in every significant offensive category, including their 15 points and 283 yards per game averages. The series is tied 2-2 with Albany winning 24-8 two years ago.
The Tribe: The Tribe’s not entirely unrealistic playoff hopes depend on winning their final four games — not unrealistic either considering every FCS is close. Zable S
