ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (WSMV) - A 21-year-old kayaker drowned Thursday afternoon on Cheatham Lake, according to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
The TWRA reports that Robert Jarillo, of Texas, was kayaking on the lake with his brother, who was in a separate kayak.
At one point, Jarillo went out of sight and upon his brother’s return, he found the 21-year-old’s kayak had capsized.
“Following a 911 call, TWRA responded alongside multiple agencies. TWRA personnel arrived with a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) and located Mr. Jarillo at approximately 4:10 p.m.,” the TWRA explained.
