The Trump Presidency will end. The Republican stranglehold on the levers of the federal government will end. The question is what will be the standards by which new governing coalitions govern. Two years ago, right wing critics of President Biden were losing their minds over his plan to forgive up to $20,000 of student loan debt to qualified borrowers. The Supreme Court stepped in and declared that he had overstepped his executive authorities. How quaint that all looks today.
