CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cleveland Division of Police is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a possible abduction victim and the people involved, which happened in downtown Cleveland on Friday.

Police said the incident happened around 2:20 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of a female being forced into a vehicle in the area of West 9th Street and St. Clair Avenue.

Preliminary information indicates that an unknown female was reportedly forced into a vehicle by an unknown male before the car fled the area.

Police took a look at security video from the area.

The video shows a male and a female engaged in an altercation, then the female attempts to walk away before being escorted and pushed into a vehicle by the male.

The suspect vehicle is a white Volkswagen Tiguan last
