A thug has been jailed for nine years for attempted murder after stabbing a man outside of a pub in Edinburgh earlier this year. ‌

Patrick Moohan, 48, carried out the knife attack on the 48-year-old male victim on London Road on Monday, April 14. ‌

Emergency services were called to the scene in the capital at around 6am and found the man seriously injured. He was then rushed to hospital for treatment. ‌

Moohan was later arrested the same afternoon in connection with the incident. At the time of the incident locals were left shocked when forensic teams were spotted combing the busy city centre road which was taped off to the public as police investigated. ‌
