SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A San Angelo man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to an October 2021 shooting in College Station found to be motivated by "bias or prejudice," according to a release from the Brazos County District Attorney's Office.

According to a press release published by the Brazos County District Attorney's Office on Oct. 30, 31-year-old Zachary Pfluger of San Angelo was sentenced on Oct. 29 by a Brazos County jury to 20 years in prison after he pled guilty to the crime of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon during the week of Oct. 20.

The jury also "made an affirmative finding that Pfluger committed the crime because of bias or prejudice," upgrading the case to a first-degree felony.
