RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - A box truck overturned on I-95 in Richmond on Friday after it was hit by a car trying to exit the highway.
On Oct. 31 around 11:15 a.m., Virginia State Police responded to a three-vehicle crash on I-95 southbound at Exit 75.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a commercial box truck and another vehicle were in the exit lane for Exit 75 when a third car from the I-95 mainline crossed over into the exit lane at the last second, hitting the two other vehicles and causing the crash.
Three people were taken to VCU Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
VDOT and recovery crews are currently working to remove the overturned box truck from the exit ramp to the Third Street emergency pull-off, where they will try to get the truck upright.
