Voters in Colerain Township will see a levy on the ballot.

The last time a police levy was approved was back in 2014. It was only intended to support the department for five years, but it operated on that revenue for 11.
If the levy were to pass, voters will pay $188 a year.
This vote comes at a crucial time, as police have faced staffing issues and prices for equipment continues to rise.
If approved, there would be a chance to hire more officers. The township says that would help with traffic presence, solving crimes faster and quicker response times. It also would allow officers to be more proactive about crime.
