Syracuse, N.Y. — There’s new blood in the Section III Class C championship game this year.
After two straight one-and-done playoff exits, Frankfort-Schuyler has made it all the way to the championship game. Bishop Ludden’s season ended in heartbreak in last year’s semifinals when Fabius-Pompey beat them in a shootout, but head coach Ben Cassalia has the top-seeded Gaelic Knights one game away from a sectional championship. It would be Bishop Ludden-Grimes’ first banner since the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse closed Bishop Grimes last year.
