On Friday at 8:16 p.m. the National Weather Service released a wind advisory in effect until Saturday at 5 a.m. for Cayuga and Oswego counties.
The weather service adds to prepare for, "West to northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph."
"Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects, including Halloween decorations. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," explains the weather service. "Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects."
