QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill. (KWQC) - T his year’s Halloween weather is exactly what you would expect for October 31; seasonable temperatures in the 50s during the day, with 40s by the end of trick-or-treating, and overnight lows in the 30s.
That was not this case six years ago. The Quad Cities and surrounding communities experienced the snowiest and coldest on record.
At the Quad Cities International Airport in Moline, the temperatures Halloween morning 2019 was 21°, tied for the coldest on record. The coldest high temperatures was also tied at 34°.
Many of you probably remember having to shovel early Halloween morning. Officially from midnight through the morning hours, the weather observer at the airport in Moline measured 3.1″ of snow making it a record.
