MEQUON, Wis. (WFRV) - Officials in southern Wisconsin are investigating suspicious activity caught on a trail cam that could be connected to recent burglaries.

According to a release from the Mequon Police Department, a local hunter caught three masked individuals walking through a wooded area on the northwest side of Mequon on a trail cam.

The three individuals seen in the released trail cam footage are believed by police to be involved in several other burglary incidents in which suspects entered neighborhoods through wooded areas.

The owner of the trail cam, a local hunter, shared the video with police, who responded to the area and attempted to track through the woods but were unable to locate the masked individuals.
