There is a beauty in ageing, but when you're in the thick of Australia's aged care system it can sometimes be difficult to see it.
And with the biggest reforms to our Aged Care Act in a generation looming on November 1 it's understandable that some older Australians and their adult children might be fearful of the changes and what they mean for getting the support that's needed for mum and dad to stay at home.
The biggest change to home care is that "Home Care Packages" will now be called "Support at Home" packages and while there are some small changes to how Support at Home will work, providers and what people can access within their packages, should stay the same. Over time the type of services available will also increase.
