WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan (PIX11) --- A man is accused of robbing a 99-year-old Manhattan landlord, who died shortly after the incident, police said.
Domingo Vasquez Rodriguez, 39, was arrested Friday and charged with robbery in connection with the Sept. 22 incident, according to the NYPD.
The suspect was initially apprehended in Philadelphia on Sept. 29 after police got a tip about the case, police said. Authorities were waiting for his extradition to New York City.
Jose Antonio Tur died on Oct. 8 after suffering a stroke after he was robbed at gunpoint at his building near West 187th Street and Audubon Avenue in Washington Heights on the morning of Sept. 22, according to police and sources.
Tur was lured to the side of the five-story building after getting a call about a package
